TO REPAIR OR NOT TO REPAIR?
Damaged or heavily worn protective clothing no longer provides the intended protection and should be taken out of use for repair. The garments should always undergo an assessment to determine if repair is possible with maintained protective properties. If the damages are deemed to be unsuitable for repair, the garment be discarded. Repairs must always be carried out using the correct materials and methods to maintain the protective properties.
Blåkläder repair patches can be easily applied by following the instructions available for download below.
Note: Repair patches should not be used on FR (Flame-Resistant) garments.

REPAIR
If the garment is deemed repairable with maintained protective properties, repair can be preformed using adequate techniques, materials and components.
Follow the instructions below:
- Repair should always be performed without jeopardizing the protective properties. Relevant knowledge about applicable safety standards is required.
- Repair shall be performed using the same textile that the garment is made of, i.e., material that meets the requirements of the specified standards and levels of protection.
- The textile’s article number is specified as digits 5-8 in the garment’s article number. This information can be found on the garment’s care label or RFID tag.
