WASHING & CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To give your workwear longer life, you need to wash and care for them. Here’s how.

GENERAL WASHING & CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • Follow the garments care instructions !
  • Do not use bleach and/or fabric softener.
  • Wash garments of similar colour together (do not mix light/dark).
  • Wash certified garments only with other garments that have exactly the same certifications.
  • Close all zippers.
  • Unbutton all buttons.
  • Close all velcro straps, it can ruin the fabric.
  • Tumbling wears on the garment. If possible, hang dry.

STAIN REMOVAL

  • Stains needs to be removed to not affect the garment’s certification.
  • Rub the stain with liquid detergent, then wash as usual.
  • If the garment doesn’t get clean, wash it again (prewash).

INDUSTRIAL LAUNDRY

  • Industrial wash to get the garments clean.
  • It’s better for the environment.
  • Only garments marked with industrial laundry.

DETERGENT

  • Use a detergent that is intended for the temperature you are washing in.
  • Use special wool detergent for wool garments.
  • Use, if possible, special detergent for shell garments.

HIGH VIS GARMENTS (garments with reflective tape) certified EN20471

  • Follow the garments care instructions.
  • Do not use fabric softener, it damages the reflective tape.
  • Do not use bleach.
  • Wash the garment only with other garments with reflective tape that are certified EN20471, with exactly the same care instructions.
  • Close all zippers.
  • Unbutton all buttons.
  • Close all velcro straps, it can ruin the fabric.
  • Wash with the outside out, the garment will be the cleanest this way.
  • Wash the garment often, as soon as it looks dirty, dirt affects the visibility of the garment.
  • Do not iron the reflective tape.

FLAME RETARDANT GARMENTS

  • Follow the garments care instructions.
  • Do not use fabric softener, it damages the reflective tape.
  • Do not use bleach.
  • Wash the garment only with other garments that have the same certifications, with exactly the same care instructions.
  • Close all zippers.
  • Unbutton all buttons.
  • Close all velcro straps, it can ruin the fabric.
  • Wash with the outside out, the garment will be the cleanest this way.
  • Wash the garment often, as soon as it looks dirty. Dirt affects the flame retardancy and visibility of the garment.
  • Do not iron the reflective tape.

WINTER SHELL GARMENTS (certified EN343) & SOFTSHELL GARMENTS

  • Follow the garments care instructions.
  • Do not use fabric softener, it damages the reflective tape and the fabric's membrane.
  • Do not use bleach.
  • If the garment is certified, wash it only with other garments that have the same certifications, with exactly the same care instructions.
  • Close all zippers.
  • Unbutton all buttons.
  • Close all velcro straps, it can ruin the fabric.
  • Wash with the outside out, the garment will be the cleanest this way.
  • Feel free to use liquid detergent specially designed for membrane garments. Do this in order to not damage the membrane in the fabric.
  • Wash the garment when it looks dirty. Dirt affects the flame protection and visibility of the garments that are certified EN20471 and flame retardant. If the garment is not dirty, you can air it.
  • Do not iron the reflective tape.
  • Feel free to dry the garment in a tumble dryer or drying locker, follow the care instructions, the heat reactivates the water-repellent finish of the fabric.

BASE LAYER

  • Follow the garments care instructions.
  • Do not use fabric softener, it affects the abilities of the material and moisture transport negatively.
  • Do not use bleach.
  • Close all zippers.
  • Unbutton all buttons.
  • Garments with any print are washed with the reversed side out, which results in that the print is maintained longer.
  • If the garment isn't dirty, you can air it.

BASE LAYER WOOL

  • Follow the garments care instructions.
  • Only use detergent intended for wool garments, preferably liquid.
  • Do not use fabric softener, it will negatively affect the abilities of the material.
  • Wool is naturally dirt-repellent and in many cases does not need to be washed at all as often as you might think. Air the garment instead and let it rest between uses. It gives the wool fibers time to regain their natural strength and elasticity.
  • Do not use bleach.
  • Close all zippers.
  • Unbutton all buttons.
    4-WAY STRETCH
  • Follow the garments care instructions.
  • Do not use fabric softener, it will damage the stretch and reflective tape if the garment is certified EN20471.
  • Do not use bleach.
  • If the garment is certified EN20471, wash only with other garments that are certified EN20471, with exactly the same care instructions.
  • Close all zippers.
  • Unbutton all buttons.
  • Close all velcro straps, it can ruin the fabric.
  • Wash with the outside out, the garment will be the cleanest this way.
  • Wash the garment often, as soon as it looks dirty, dirt affects the visibility of the garment.
  • Do not iron the reflective tape.
  • Synthetic garments with 4-way stretch are not suitable for welding and similar work.

GARMENTS WITH CLOTHING DECALS

  • Follow the garments care instructions.
  • Wash in max 70 degrees, garments with clothing decals are not suitable for industrial washing, we recommend that you test wash to ensure that the washing method you choose works for this type of garments.

GLOVES

  • Do not dry leather gloves with heat, for example in tumblers or radiators, the leather will become stiff and crack.
