Protective gloves and other hand protective equipments against thermal risks (heat and / or fire)
EN 407 - PROTECTIVE GLOVES AND OTHER HAND PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENTS AGAINST THERMAL RISKS (HEAT AND / OR FIRE)
Gloves certified to the EN 407 standard protect the wearer from the risks connected to exposure to heat, flame and splashes of molten metal.
The glove’s heat-resistant properties are tested and classified with a performance level as shown in the tables below.

Small splashes of molten metal | 1 - 4** |
Large quantities of molten metal | 1 - 4** |
0 means that the glove does not meet the minimum requirement for the protective property. X means that the protective property has not been tested.
*If Limited flame spread is not claimed, pictogram without a flame is used
**If Limited Flame properties is not claimed or in case of Limited Flame Spread performance levels 1 or 2, maximum level 2 can be claimed for other heat protective properties
All gloves certified in accordance with the EN 407 standard must meet at least performance level 1 in resistance to abrasion and tear resistance, in accordance with EN 388.
