FREELOCK GUIDE

REPAIRING FREELOCK

To give your safety shoes from Blåkläder even longer life, you can repair the lacing and locking system Freelock yourself. And this is how you do it.

For even more information and visual instructions, see the video below.

1) Connect the wire.

2) Cut the wire 10-12cm from the base.

3) The dial-set consists of dial, reel, and cover.

4) You now have two options for how to insert the thread into the dial:
4a.
In the tongue position, penetrate the wire directly through the dial.

Or:
4b.
In the eyestay position, cross the wire first and penetrate through to the dial.

5) Penetrate the wire through the holes, following numbers and arrow directions written on the reel.

6) Put/push the wire to the end at position 3.

7) Pull the wire no. 2 and no. 3 step by step to make the loop.

8) Place the reel in the dial: CAUTION – THE WIRE SHOULD NOT BE TANGLED

9) Position the cover above the dial. Assemble one side first and the other firmly.

10) When assembling the cover, make sure the TOP sign is positioned upward and the direction is right.

11) First, push the dial into two holes behind obliquely.

12) Press the dial down firmly to the base part – MAKE SURE YOU HEAR A “CLICK” SOUND. Turn the dial clockwise to tighten the wire and push the dial upward to release the wire.
